Diego Domínguez is the Paraguayan rally driver who, in 2024, became the first from his country to be crowned world champion in one of the WRC categories, taking the WRC3 title. This August he won WRC2 at Rally Paraguay, and he now joins the Maison as Franck Muller Brand Ambassador.

Earlier this year at Watchland, Franck Muller’s home in Geneva, Domínguez worked with Jean Loup, Head of Design at the Maison, on his own Unique Piece. While doing so, he quietly returned to the table, this time for someone else: Luciana Pappalardo, now his wife.

Fine craftsmanship rarely announces itself. It is recognised by those trained to notice it, and few understand that instinct better than Pappalardo, a Paraguayan gemologist whose relationship with precision began long before she ever wore a Franck Muller timepiece. A Graduate Gemologist certified by the GIA (Gemological Institute of America), with a background in arts economics and management from Milan’s Università Bocconi, she has built her career around stones and the discipline required to judge them.

The piece Domínguez created for her was a gift for their wedding. It is a Long Island, one of Franck Muller’s most classic and elegant silhouettes, remastered in 18k yellow gold. Its dial marks every hour in black save for two: the 10 and the 3, rendered in grey, a private reference to October 3rd, the day they married.

On the caseback, a single inscription completes the piece: “Per Sempre.” Italian for forever, a reminder that a watch does not simply measure time, it transcends it, passed down long after the moment that inspired it.
